Data that has a set of discrete values (Yes/No, Pass/Fail, On/Off)
The Lean Institute - University of Oklahoma
Numerical information at the nominal level; subdivision is not conceptually meaningful; data which represents the frequency of occurrence within some discrete category, e.g., 42 solder shorts.
Discrete (i.e. non-continuous) data describing the attributes of an entity (object) which can be classified into two categories e.g. good/bad, go/no go, pass/fail, good/defective, or maybe more than two categories e.g. red, yellow, blue. The exact meaning varies with users. See Data Types.
